Kerry Concert Choir

Set up in January 2022, under the direction of Dr Sharon Lyons, the Kerry Concert Choir is a new bespoke events choir based in Killarney, Co Kerry. This choir is a mixed SATB adult choir spanning all genres of music.**

The Kerry Concert Choir have raised over €30,000 for local charities since beginning in 2022, by donated 100% of all ticket proceeds from their concerts.

In November 2023 they were invited to join Dublin-based choir ‘Arabella Voices’ to sing for a Christmas Concert in the Mahoney Hall, The Helix, Dublin which featured a professional 20 piece orchestra and combined choir of 100+ singers. See video below for an excerpt from that concert.

Their annual Carols from the Cathedral concert, which takes place in St Mary’s Cathedral, Killarney is one of the choir’s yearly highlights. This year the date is Sunday November 30th at 7:30pm, and tickets will be available on Eventbrite from early October.

In December 2024, the Kerry Concert Choir were also invited to be part of the 100 strong choir for Vladimir’s Viennese Christmas which took place in the 3Arena, Dublin. This concert featured soloist Katherine Jenkins. After the huge success of this concert, they have been invited back to the 3Arena by Vladimir to join him once again this December for two concerts.

The choir is actively seeking tenors and basses. There is a waiting list in place for Sopranos and Altos.
